The 2014 edition of our famous Fall Festival was very special. It was our 30th anniversary show and the weather certainly cooperated. We had three perfect days with highs in the 70’s near 80, and there was never a threat of rain. That along with broad advertising of the show, brought out record crowds. We thought that it would be impossible to equal the 2013 record, but we did. There were a record number of exhibits and vendors as well and everyone seemed to be pleased with the format changes in the show. Hawaii Railway #5 ran flawlessly throughout the weekend (except for running out of water in the tender at 3:30 on Saturday, for which we apologize to those hearty few that stood in line until the end of the day).
There were many new vendors this year to add to the “old timers” that have been coming for years. Also, we had many new exhibitors and machines that were brought to the show for the first time. Space was carved out in areas we did not intend, to make room for the bumper crop of vendors and exhibitors. All of our demonstrations went off without a hitch, including the newly restored drag saw in our sawmill exhibit area along the tracks.

Be sure to come back in 2015 for our 31st Annual Fall Festival which will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 25-27, 2015.
