>>>>Come one, come all. Everyone is welcome to attend our 8th Annual Spring Power-Up!<<<<

Our 2012 Spring Power-Up will be our eighth edition of this celebration to the re-opening of CAMA after a nasty winter. Unlike the Fall Festival, our Spring Power-Up is a showcase of our own extensive collection of steam and internal combustion engines, tractors, the historic Cream Hill Agricultural School and the Connecticut Museum of Mining and Mineral Science.

MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER EXHIBITORS WELCOME
Either member or non-member outside exhibitors are welcome to bring their machinery and set up for the day. There is no charge for exhibitors to display their antique machinery-related items. Outside vendors are welcome to set up for a nominal fee. If you would like to sell (vend) at the Spring Power-Up, please email us with your request.   As with the Fall Festival,  only antique, vintage or machinery-related items may be sold at the Power-Up.

Out of the house
Hawaii No. 5 out of the engine house
CAMA's own extensive collection of antique machinery will be highlighted at the Spring Power-Up.  In our Industrial Hall, our stationary steam engines spring to life.  A recently loaned, fully restored, smaller steam engine from the New York Hall of Science in Flushing-Queens will be on display and operating   Come to the Industrial Hall and see this very early (circa 1850's) steam engine.   In our 5-bay shed and oilfield power buildings, our large one-lunger "hit and miss" engines and our impressive Wolverine Diesel will be fired up.  Over in the Diebold Hall, our museum- and member-owned tractors will see the light of day after a long hard winter. On our narrow gauge railroad tracks, our 1925 Hawaii Railway Co. #5 Baldwin steam locomotive will steam up for a few trips up and down our track. Our 1922 Plymouth Diesel locomotive will be out and about.  Visit the Mining Museum and see what new exhibits have been created over the winter.

***Please note that we are at the mercy of the "machinery gods". Although we make every effort to get our antique machinery running, we can't always predict that all machinery will be operational on the day of the Power-Up***
