CAMA Begins Construction of our new Blacksmith Shop Exhibit

For years, we have had no formal setting to exhibit blacksmith tools, and demonstrate blacksmith techniques.  A few years ago, we set up a temporary space in one bay of the 5-Bay Shed for this purpose, but soon found that we needed more display space to do proper demonstrations, and to house our expanding antique tool collection. Earlier this year, the board of directors voted to erect an expandable building to house a blacksmith shop, and through the very kind donations of a number of enthusiasts, we raised the money to build a modest structure.  Constuction began just after our 2007 Fall Festival.

The structure is planned to be weather tight before the first snowfall.
